If the person is suffering from a brain disease, such as Alzheimer’s, the challenges can be elevated exponentially as carers work diligently to try and understand the world of someone living with cognitive impairment. These programs are designed to create practical strategies and insight regarding: safety; legal forms that will direct care; insight into the world of dementia and ‘behaviors’; and the importance of self-care.
