Certified Medication Aide Training (CME) for Assisted Living

This four-day program will go over all the regulatory requirements for non-medical personnel to become a CME. An exam and certificate for the employee and human resources is included. Participants will:

  • Understand medication classifications, side effects, administration techniques

  • Understand HIPAA and standard precautions

  • Understand when to elevate situations to medical staff

  • Understand a proper medication pass using state standards

  • Learn how to perform blood pressures, pulses, respirations, temperatures, weights and securing specimens

  • Learn treatment techniques and infection control
